Creating, Viewing and Editing a Marketing List

Using the Xeppo Marketing App, you can easily create marketing lists for specific Groups of clients. If you are using MailChimp, you can then connect MailChimp to Xeppo to push your marketing lists to MailChimp. If you are not using MailChimp, you can still use the Xeppo Marketing App to create and export you marketing lists, and then import your list into your marketing software.

Creating a Marketing List

To create a marketing list, you will need to select the Clients you wish to add to the marketing list. 

In Xeppo, select either Groups > Search Groups, or Clients > Search Clients, then use filters to narrow down your list of clients to only view those you want in your marketing list. 
You may find it useful to add Tag's to your clients based on the marketing list they'll be in. This will allow you to filter on those clients.

Once you have your list of clients, select them all using the tick box at the top of the first column. if you have more than 25 clients being added to a list, you may need to adjust the number of results shown at the bottom of the page.

Select Actions > Add to Marketing List from the top right of the page.

A pop up will display to show the number of clients you have selected, and whether you would like to add them to a new or existing marketing list. 
If you are creating a new marketing list, you will need to add the name of the list, and which email you would like it to go to. Once you have completed these fields, select 'Add to List'.

Viewing Your Marketing Lists

Select Apps > Marketing from the top menu, then Marketing Lists > Search Marketing Lists. This will take you to a list of your current marketing lists. Select view next to the marketing list you created.

When viewing your marketing lists, you will be able to see the member status, which may include the following:

  • Synchronised - If you are using the Mailchimp connector, this client has been synced.
  • Unsynchronised - If you are using the Mailchimp connector, this client has not been synced. You can learn more about how to sync you connector in this article. If you are not using MailChimp, most clients will have this status.
  • Opt-out - the client has unsubscribed from the mailing list.
  • Exception - There may be an issue with the clients email address which could result in them not receiving the communication sent. This includes the client having no email address on record, the email address on record being in the incorrect format, or the client's email address also being linked to another user.

Editing Your Marketing Lists

When you are in your marketing list, you have several options to edit the list.
At the top of the page, you have the option to edit the list, which will allow you to change the name of the list, update the email preference, and refresh the list of clients. You can also delete the list from this page.

You can also remove specific clients from a list using the Actions option. Select the tick box next to the client/s that you would like to remove from the list, then select Actions > Remove from List. You can also export the list from the Actions tab.
