Bulk updating Opportunities (and Leads)

In some cases you may wish to update the details of a number of Opportunities with a common change. The Edit function available from Sales App views, via the Actions button in views, achieves this.

The general intention of this capability is to use (or build a View) with records you wish to edit in bulk.

Tag the records in question then click on Edit. You will be presented with a list of the fields you can alter as part of this process.

Enter in the changes you wish to make (to all records selected) then click Update Opportunities button. 

Note
Only the fields with data entered will be effected in this process. It will not blank out data in other fields you do not alter
